THE
SPUMANTE
CAVE
OUR CAVE IS “THE CATHEDRAL OF SPUMANTE”, AS LUIGI VERONELLI SAID IN 1982.
The origins of our enchanting natural grotto go back to time immemorial. But it’s in the 20th century that it becomes a local history’s protagonist. Under the command of the Austro-Hungarian Empire in World War I, the locals enlarged the grotto that became a military fortification and a storage area for food and munitions. During World War II, the grotto was used by the local population as an anti-raid shelter.
A fascinating location for wine samplings and an exciting place for all the foodies.
